The Tapping Nurse

Accredited Certified EFT Practitioner
Hi, I’m Jennifer, aka The Tapping Nurse.
I’m a registered nurse, Specialist Community Public Health Nurse (Health Visiting), NHS team leader, and wellbeing champion with a strong interest in staff wellbeing. I’m also a certified EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques) practitioner.
My work is trauma-informed and grounded in a deep understanding of the nervous system, stress physiology, and how emotional, psychological, and physical experiences are held in the body.
My approach is shaped by both extensive clinical experience (30 years in nursing) and lived experience, including ADHD (diagnosed at 49), burnout, sensory sensitivity, and navigating perimenopause and menopause. These experiences have deepened my understanding of nervous system regulation, emotional overwhelm, and the importance of compassionate, practical tools for self-regulation.
I first used EFT in 2012 following traumatic life events and found it to be a gentle, effective way to process emotions without overwhelm. Since then, it has become a key part of both my personal wellbeing and professional practice.
I have a particular interest in supporting clients with trauma, cravings, and emotional eating, recognising how these patterns can be linked to nervous system dysregulation, protective responses, and unmet emotional needs. I also support work around stress, burnout, and emotional resilience.
I offer a calm, supportive space, combining evidence-based knowledge with real-life understanding to help others feel more regulated, resilient, and connected.
